FspR7SpeqOperate |
|
When Per-Channel Power (PPC) changes without an SPEQ trigger condition; users could use this command to invoke SPEQ Gain recalculation/setting on the associated EDFA. (SPEQ Gain recalculation shall inherit the current value of the GainCal.) This user operated action could be service effecting. Therefore, users must be warned when operating this command; only upon user acceptance, software shall proceed with the new Gain recalculation and setting. |

FspR7SpeqPpcLimit |
|
Per-channel optical power limit value for supporting the maximum channel operation of a given optical link. PPC-LIMIT for an optical link with the 40 or the 80 max channel operations would be 4dBm or 1dBm respectively.
Example: assuming a user has installed an EFDA with Output Power of 20 interfacing an optical link with the max channel operation/capacity of 40. Therefore, PPC-LIMIT (the optimum power per-channel setting) for this link is 4dBm (PT=10log(n)+PPC; where PT=Total Output Power of the EDFA=20dB, n=max channel operation=40, PPC=PPC-LIMIT).
